6 | the Puysegur trench. To understand this vulnerability, the Tasmanian State |

7 | Government are seeking to understand the history of tsunami by undertaking |

8 | paleo-tsunami investigations. The aim of this work is to support these |

9 | investigations by modelling two specific tsunami-genic events to assess the |
---|
10 | impact to South East Tasmania. |

12 | This report describes the modelling methodology and initial results |

13 | for two specific tsunami-genic events as it impacts the Hobart region |
---|
14 | and its surrounds. In particular, maximum inundation maps are shown |
---|
15 | and discussed for the event occurring at mean sea level. |
