    272272Additional causes of the discrepancies between the survey data and the modelled inundated include: unknown distribution of surface roughness, inappropriate parameterisation of the source model, effect of humans structures on flow, as well as uncertainties in the elevation data, effects of erosion and deposition by the tsunami event, measurement errors, and missing data in the field survey data itself. The impact of some of these sources of uncertainties are is investigated in Section~\ref{sec:sensitivity}
