It's what I *thought*, but trying without that set up produced no valuable diagnostic indicating why I was losing. I would have saved a little time if I had gone ahead and done all of the installs as my first step... Not a big deal, but it's always good to hear from the people currently enduring pain, since they always for get what the pain was after it's over :) -Doug At 09:57 PM 8/28/2003 +1000, Ole Moller Nielsen wrote: >Hi Doug > >Thank you very much for your mail > >May I ask what platform you are using: Solaris, Linux, Windows? > >Pypar was tested on all the platforms I had access to when I wrote it. >These days I use it exclusively with Linux. > >Cheers >Ole > > >On Wed, Aug 27, 2003 at 11:59:29PM -0400, Doug Orr wrote: > > hi ole, > > > > I'm trying pypar with lam7.0 and it was crashing in MPI_Init. it looks > > like they're assuming the last argument in the argv list is NULL. > > > > I assume someone has probably already pointed this out, but just in case... > > > > -doug > > > >-- >------------------------------------------------------------------- >Ole Nielsen | Email: Ole.Nielsen@anu.edu.au >------------------------------------------------------------------- >Mathematical Sciences Institute | Phone: +61 2 6125 3873 (Direct) >Australian National University | Fax: +61 2 6125 5549 >Canberra ACT 0200 | >Australia | >------------------------------------------------------------------- >ANU CRICOS # 00120C >-------------------------------------------------------------------
