= Welcome to the ANUGA Open Source Hydrodynamic Modelling Project: [http://sourceforge.net/projects/anuga Download ANUGA from SourceForge] = ANUGA is the name of a Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) package which is capable of modelling the impact of hydrological disasters such as dam breaks, riverine flooding, storm-surge or tsunamis. ANUGA is based on the Shallow Water Wave Equation discretised to unstructured triangular meshes using a finite-volumes numerical scheme. A major capability of ANUGA is that it can model the process of wetting and drying as water enters and leaves an area. This means that it is suitable for simulating water flow onto a beach or dry land and around structures such as buildings. ANUGA is also capable of modelling difficult flows involving shock waves and rapidly changing flow speeds (transitions from sub critical to super critical flows). ANUGA is developed by the Australian National University (ANU) and Geoscience Australia (GA) - hence the name. == Breaking News == ||'''ANUGA Workshop 16-17 September 2008''' || SecondAnugaMeeting ||'''Latest ANUGA (1.0beta_5638) released 11 August 2008'''|| [https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=172848&package_id=197866&release_id=619096 anuga-1.0beta_5638] == Documentation == ||'''ANUGA user manual''' ||http://datamining.anu.edu.au/~ole/anuga/user_manual/anuga_user_manual.pdf ||'''ANUGA installation guide''' ||http://datamining.anu.edu.au/~ole/anuga/user_manual/anuga_installation_guide.pdf ||'''ANUGA release notes''' ||http://datamining.anu.edu.au/~ole/anuga/user_manual/anuga_whats_new.pdf == ANUGA user mailing list - where to get help == ||'''Send questions and submissions''' ||anuga-user@lists.sourceforge.net ||'''Mailing list archives''' ||https://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=anuga-user ||'''To subscribe or unsubscribe''' ||https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/anuga-user ||'''Mail the person managing the list''' ||anuga-user-owner@lists.sourceforge.net == Publications == ||'''Hydrodynamic Modelling of Coastal Inundation, Modsim 2005''' ||http://www.ga.gov.au/servlet/BigObjFileManager?bigobjid=GA7981 http://www.mssanz.org.au/modsim05/papers/nielsen.pdf ||'''Water Flow Software, Open to all (page 8), AUSGEO News September 2004''' || http://www.ga.gov.au/ausgeonews/archive/200410.jsp ||'''Modelling answers tsunami questions, AUSGEO News September 2006''' || http://www.ga.gov.au/ausgeonews/ausgeonews200609/modelling.jsp ||'''Parallelisation of a finite volume method for hydrodynamic inundation modelling, ANZIAM Journal, Vol 48 (2006)''' || http://www.sci.usq.edu.au/projects/ojs/index.php/ANZIAMJ/article/view/153 ||'''Simulation of Tsunami and Flash Floods March 2006''' || https://datamining.anu.edu.au/anuga/attachment/wiki/WikiStart/roberts_nielsen_jakeman_2006.pdf == Links == ||'''Software Repository (Subversion)''' ||https://datamining.anu.edu.au/svn/ga ||'''GA Inundation Modelling Project home''' ||http://www.ga.gov.au/urban/projects/ramp/inundation.jsp ||'''TRAC project management site (this page)''' ||https://datamining.anu.edu.au/anuga ||'''ANUGA case study at Australian Service for Knowledge of Open Source''' || http://ask-oss.mq.edu.au/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=54&Itemid=69 ||'''ANUGA software download at [http://sourceforge.net SourceForge] (Since Dec 2006)''' ||http://sourceforge.net/projects/anuga ||'''Work pages''' || WorkPages == Number of unique viewers since 4 September 2008 == {{{ #!html free hit counter
