ANUGA dies mysteriously in clip of geospatial_data dies with no error message!

Description
The error should be replicated if you run the build_geraldton.py script in this directory: J:\inundation\data\western_australia\geraldton_tsunami_scenario\anuga\outputs\Keep_for_trac_ticket_20080305_020727_build_trial_0.75_other_nbartzis
I did explore the problem with many print statements (but time was against me) It might be something to do with ensure_numeric or get_absolute... ???
